Pint awaits Obama in Moneygall before free College Green concert

More details are emerging about President Barack Obama's one-day visit here next week.

After arriving at Dublin Airport on Monday morning, he will meet with President Mary McAleese and Taoiseach Enda Kenny before, weather permitting, travelling by helicopter to his ancestral home of Monegall in Co Offaly.

He will spend an hour there where he will have a pint poured for him at a local pub.

On Monday evening, President Obama will speak at a free, open-air concert at College Green in Dublin, where a number of Irish artists will perform.

This event will be open to members of the public, is free of charge and tickets will not be required.
