Ireland faces fine for not inspecting septic tanks

The European Commission is looking to impose a hefty fine on Ireland for not properly inspecting all septic tanks.

The commission is asking the European Court of Human Rights to fine the Irish Government €2.7m and more than €26,000 daily, until the problem is fixed.
