Two viable explosives made safe overnight

Army bomb disposal teams made safe two viable explosive devices in Dublin and Limerick overnight.

One was found just after 2am this morning at Loreto Road in Dublin 8.

Around an hour later, the second device was found at Greenmount Avenue in Ballinacurra Weston.

In both cases the devices were made safe and no controlled explosions were carried out.

The remains of both devices were handed over to the gardaí for their investigations.
