Leitrim man's appeal against sex assault jail sentence fails

A Leitrim man who sexually assaulted a neighbour's young daughter has failed in his appeal against his three-year prison sentence.

The 22-year-old man was jailed for three years in March last year, having pleaded guilty to one representative count of sexually assaulting the then 10-year-old girl, on dates unknown during the month of October, 2005.
