British PM to visit Ireland next week

The British Prime Minister David Cameron is to pay his first visit to the Republic of Ireland next week.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny confirmed that Mr Cameron would visit him at Government buildings, co-inciding with the visit of Britain's Queen Elizbeth.

Mr Kenny met with the Prime Minister in London last month.

The Taoiseach said the return visit next week will provide the two leaders with a further opportunity to strengthen their ties.
