2,000 new jobs in line as part of €30m retro-fitting programme
Some 2,000 new jobs are to be created as part of an expansion of the Government's retro-fitting programme.
An additional €30m is being allocated to the Better Energy scheme under the jobs initiative announced yesterday.
Sustainable Energy Ireland will begin accepting applications from next week for the grants, which are set to come on stream before the summer.
The Energy Miniser Pat Rabbitte said the scheme would bring the number of people working in the sector to almost 6,000.
