Three teens questioned after Inchicore shooting

Gardaí in Dublin are continuing to question three teenagers in connection with the shooting dead of 19-year-old Paul McCarthy.

Mr McCarthy was shot in the head with a handgun in the back room of a house at Myra Close in Inchicore on Monday afternoon, just a few doors away from his own home..

There were a number of other people in the room at the time of the shooting, and they fled the scene.

A gun was dropped at the nearby junction with Emmet Road and gardaí believe it was the weapon used in the incident.

Last night, detectives arrested three youths in their late teens who presented themselves at Kilmainham garda station.

They continue to be questioned this morning at Harcourt, Kevin St and Pearse St garda stations.
