Two held in connection with shopping centre bank raid

Gardaí investigating a bank robbery at the Rathfarnham Shopping Centre in Dublin yesterday have arrested two men this morning.

A lone gunman made off with an undisclosed sum of money after demanding cash from the cashier at the Bank of Ireland branch in the shopping centre at lunchtime yesterday.

He was seen getting into a small blue car which was located a short time later.

The two men, who are in their mid-30s and early 40s, are being detained at Rathfarnham garda station.
