Police recover weapons and ammunition in south Armagh

Police in the North investigating dissident republican activity have recovered a substantial number of weapons and ammunition from a vehicle in the Keady area of south Armagh.
Meanwhile, officers are continuing to question three men who were arrested yesterday in South Armagh in connection with dissident republican activity.
It comes after the PSNI issued a warning to the public last night to be extra vigilant over the Easter period, as the threat from terrorist groups remains high.
Three weeks after the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr in Omagh, police warned that terrorist groups could be intent on trying to murder more officers in the coming days and weeks.
Policing Board member Basil McCrea said the public must be vigilant as dissidents now have the same technical capability as the IRA did at the height of its campaign.
"These people are determined to drag us back and they have the capability to do so...We must resist them as one," he said.
