20 arrested in Wicklow drugs operation

Twenty people have been arrested in Bray in Co Wicklow over the past seven days as part of a major operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs.

Gardaí say the nine-month long investigation has yielded evidence against the "significant" targets and has dismantled a major heroin and cannabis distribution network operating in North Wicklow.

In the past week alone, the investigation has resulted in the seizure of drugs and drug dealing paraphernalia during a number of searches.

Over 50 charges will be brought against those arrested.
