Hayes: Referenda should be held on day of Presidential election

Junior Minister Brian Hayes has said the upcoming Presidential election is an opportunity to hold one or two of six planned referenda.

The six are to look at children's rights, judges' pay, eliminating the Seanad, the Dáil's powers of investigation, reducing the President's seven-year term to five years and increasing the powers of the Ombudsman.
