Free service saves 350 with heart condition in four years
Up to 3,500 people have availed of a free service to monitor Sudden Adult Death Syndrome in this country.
Since it opened its doors in 2007, the Centre for Cardiac Risk in Younger Persons, have diagnosed 10% with a heart condition.
Co-ordinator Dr Deirdre Ward said most people who attended the screening were between 14 and 35 years of age and more than 50% were reassured.
