Gardaí arrest man after €44k cannabis seizure

Cannabis worth around €44,000 has been found following the search of a premises in Sligo.

Gardaí along with Customs Officers searched the house on Chapel Hill Road yesterday afternoon and found 4kgs of cannabis herb.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find.

He is being questioned at Sligo Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
