Clare Gardaí treating woman's death as suspicious

A post mortem examination will be carried out later on the remains of Deirdre McCarthy.

The body of the 43-year-old were found washed up on Fanore Strand in Co. Clare yesterday morning.

She was last seen on Sunday night, and the alarm was raised when she failed to turn up to babysit for a friend.

Gardaí are treating her death as suspicious.
