Schools in line for €41.2m makeover

A total of 453 schools will be getting a summer makeover this year as the Government has pledged €41.2m in funding.

Minister for Education Ruairí Quinn said the summer works scheme will see major improvements in primary and post primary schools around the country

The funds will allow the schools in question to carry out small and medium scale building works this summer, such as gas, electrical and mechanical works.
