Kenny to answer Dáil questions on Lowry

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is now expected to answer questions in the Dáil about the Moriarty Tribunal report today - despite initial indications that he would only make a statement.
Opposition parties had accused Mr Kenny of hiding behind Labour Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte who was put forward by the Government to take questions on the report.
Meanwhile, Sinn Fein has called on the Government to allow time to table a motion of censure against independent TD Michael Lowry.
Such a move would force Fine Gael TDs loyal to Mr Lowry to make their positions clear in a Dáil vote.
Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams said a vote must be taken to help restore public trust in the political system.
"We want to restore public confidence in the political institutions," Deputy Adams said. "And the way this has been handled by the Taoiseach and by Fine Gael has further undermined public confidence."
