A 34-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick at the weekend.

A 34-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick at the weekend.

James O'Connor from Lord Edward Street is accused of recklessly discharging a firearm on Saturday night.

Nobody was injured during the incident, which happened near Mr O'Connor's home, but a house was damaged.

The defendant, who was remanded in custody, is also accused of possession of a rifle and .22 calibre ammunition.
