Man accused of murder and two attempted murders

A 21-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to murdering a man and attempting to murder two others in Dublin more than two years ago.

A 21-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to murdering a man and attempting to murder two others in Dublin more than two years ago.

David Patchell of Rossfield Crescent, Tallaght pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court this morning to the murder of Stephen O’Halloran on or around January 19, 2009 at Kilmartin Drive, Tallaght.

He also pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Paul Core and Anthony Harte, and to intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to both men on the same occasion.

A jury of seven women and five men has been sworn in to hear the trial, which will begin on Thursday and last until the end of next week.
