The family of a schoolgirl have received an apology 35 years after she was killed by a British paratrooper in County Armagh.

The family of a schoolgirl have received an apology 35 years after she was killed by a British paratrooper in County Armagh.

Twelve-year-old Majella O'Hare was shot dead when walking past a British Army checkpoint.

The apology will be handed over from the UK Ministry of Defence to her mother at a Belfast ceremony.
