Maxol boss warns of higher petrol prices

Motorists are being warned to expect higher prices at some petrol pumps in the coming days.

The Chief Executive of Maxol is blaming the unrest in Libya and concerns about the situation in Saudi Arabia for a coming surge in oil prices.

He expects his stations will put prices up by 1 cent a litre in the next few days.

Some petrol stations have cut prices slightly in recent days, after surpassing the €1.50c mark in recent weeks.
