Man avoids jail for intent to intimidate man he believed was a paedophile
A Dublin alcoholic who suspected a member of his AA group to be a paedophile has been given a four-year suspended sentence for possession of a knife with intent to intimidate.
Edward Conroy confronted the group member with the knife, then turned on a Congolese shop worker standing outside a nearby Centra because he thought the man was intervening in the dispute.
