Minister for Public Sector Reform Brendan Howlin has today expressed his disappointment at the decision of an arbitration board to prevent the Government from scrapping privilege days for civil servants.

The Department of Finance wanted to abolish two days of annual leave which have been taken by civil servants since before Independence, to mark the King's Birthday and "Empire Day".
