Armed gang raid Dublin pub

Gardaí are hunting for an armed gang after a Dublin pub was robbed this morning.

At least two masked and armed men entered the Killmardinney Inn on Lorcan Avenue in Santry shortly before 11am this morning.

They threatened staff before escaping with an undisclosed sum of cash in a stolen red Volkswagen Touran with a 04D registration, which was later found abandoned.

A man who was working at the bar suffered head injuries during the raid. He is now being treated at Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as not critical.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
