Man seriously hurt in Dublin assault

A man is in serious condition after an assault in Ballymun last night.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the assault which occurred on the Ballymun Road outside a Pharmacy at approximately 9pm last night.

A 48-year-old man received serious injuries and is described as critical in Beaumont Hospital.

It is understood that up to two men were involved in the assault.
