Dublin gardaí appeal for witnesses to assault

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses following the assault of a man last night.

The 48-year-old is in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital after being attacked outside a pharmacy on the Ballymun road at around 9pm.

Gardaí say up to two men were involved in the assault.

The man's injuries are being described as serious.
