Two bodies found on Clare beach

A Garda investigation is underway in Co Clare after two bodies were recovered at a beach near Miltown Malbay.

The bodies of the two females, believed to be middle aged, were discovered at Whitestrand at around 10.30am this morning.

An English registered car was found abandoned nearby.

Gardaí are at the scene in Whitestrand and the State Pathologist has been notified.
