Paediatricians 'anxious' over delay in childrens' hospital
A medical consultant at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin has said paediatricians around the country are concerned that the construction of the new children's hospital will be delayed.
Another row has broken out over the site for the proposed hospital currently planned to be built on the campus of the Mater Hospital in Dublin.
But a review is now underway into the cost of building the hospital with some suggesting that 200 million euro could be saved by locating the hospital elsewhere.
Consultant Gastroenterologist at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, Billy Bourke, has said politics must not play any part in what is a huge opportunity for Ireland.
