The Court of Criminal Appeal has ruled today that a three-and-a-half-year sentence handed down to a Dublin man for possessing firearms and ammunition is not unduly lenient.

Gardaí found the weapons during a search of Darren Mooney's home at Landen Road in Ballyfermot in June 2009 as part of an investigation into IRA activity.
