ESRI reveals one in 20 households suffer from indebtedness

An average of one in every 20 households in Ireland was over-indebted in 2008.

A new study shows the figure increased to around one in five homes where the occupants were on lower incomes, unemployed, lone parents or living in local authority accommodation.
