Family toy store chain to close with loss of 30 jobs

Thirty jobs are to go with the closure of a chain of toy stores in Cork.

Murphy's World of Wonder , a family-run firm, has shops in Mallow, Blackpool, Midleton and Fermoy.

The company confirmed today that it has gone into voluntary liquidation.

The Murphy family is blaming the decision on the state of the economy, lack of access to credit from banks and suppliers, and the high costs of running a business.
