Woman to appear in court in connection with cannabis seizure

A 48-year-old woman is due to appear in court later, charged in connection with a seizure of over €100,000 worth of cannabis.

The drugs were found when customs officers stopped and searched the woman's baggage at Dublin Airport on Saturday.

The Irish woman was travelling from Murcia in Spain when the discovery was made.

Over €1.9m worth of drugs have been seized by customs officers at Dublin Airport so far this year.
