Man dies in Limerick fire
An elderly man has died following a house fire in Limerick city.
Three units of the fire service attended the blaze at St Munchin's Street, St Mary's Park shortly before midnight.
However, the occupant of the house - a man in his 60s - was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area has been sealed off and gardaĂ at Henry Street are investigating the cause of the fire.
