Kildare Gardaí arrest man after serious assault

A man has been arrested after a street brawl in Co. Kildare after which another man was hospitalised.

The fight, involving four men, broke out on Lower Eyre Street in Newbridge at around 9.40pm last night.

A 28-year-old man suffered injuries to his neck and face and is now in a stable condition at Naas General Hospital.

Gardaí arrested an 18-year-old man at the scene and he is being questioned at Newbridge Garda Station.
