Gardaí investigate two fatal road crashes

Investigations are underway into two separate road crashes in Limerick and Cavan yesterday.

A woman in her early sixties was killed when she was knocked down near the village of Broadford at around 8pm last night.

Elsewhere, a post mortem examination will take place later on the body of a 22-year-old man who was killed in a road crash in Co Cavan.

It happened at Corascashel, Dowra sometime between 1.30am and 9.30am on Sunday morning.

The man, who was the driver and the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
