European leaders call to congratulate Kenny

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny tonight said he had received phone calls from many European leaders today, congratulating him on his imminent role as Taoiseach.

In a statement, he said he received calls from German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, among others.
