Counting continues in nine constituencies to decide the make-up of the 31st Dáil.

A total of 138 of the 166 seats are now filled, with cuonting underway to decide the final 28 deputies.

Fine Gael currently stands on 63 seats with the party's Brendan Griffin just elected in Kerry South along with Peter Fitzpatrick in Louth.

The party will have at least one TD in 42 of the 43 constituencies, Dublin North West being the exception.

Labour's has 33 seats at the moment and Fianna Fáil has 15.

Sinn Féin imay win another one to add to the 13 it already holds. It is the party's best ever performance in a Dáil election.

Independents and Others have currently won 14 seats, with six others likely to make it to the 31st Dáil.
