Seven Irish citizens have arrived safely back on Irish soil after being evacuated from Libya as political unrest there continues.

They touched down at Baldonnel Aerodrome in Dublin at lunchtime after first travelling by sea to Malta, before then boarding an Air Corps flight to Ireland.
