Funeral takes place of Athlone murder victim

The funeral of murder victim Marie Greene is underway in her home town of Athlone.

The 37-year-old's remains were found in boglands on the east side of the town on Tuesday.

Up to 200 people are in attendance at her funeral in St. Mary's Church where rosary beads and a photo of her dog "Tiny" are among gifts brought up during the ceremony.

She will be laid to rest afterwards in Cornamagh Cemetery.

A 63-year-old man has been charged with her murder.
