Leaders cast votes in General Election

The leaders of Fine Gael, Labour and Fianna Fáil have cast their votes in the General Election.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny cast his vote this morning in Scoil Naomh Pádraig in Castlebar, Co Mayo.

He was joined by his wife Fionnuala and daughter Aoibhín who was voting for the first time.

The Fianna Fail leader Micheál Martin cast his vote with his wife Mary at Saint Anthony's National School in the Cork suburb of Ballinlough.

The Labour leader Eamon Gilmore has also cast his vote this morning in his Dun Laoghaire constituency in Dublin.

Mr Gilmore, who was accompanied by his daughter Grainne, told reporters he expects a big turn out.

They all encouraged people to turnout and vote today.
