Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Galway jewellery burglary
Gardaí in Galway are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in which more than €100,000 worth of jewellery was stolen.
The jewels were stolen from a private residence in the Kilcolgan area of Galway between November 26 and December 4, 2010 - when the house was unoccupied
Among the haul of jewellery stolen from the house in Kilcolgan was a three-carat diamond solitaire on a slim gold band worth €30,000 and a ladies Rolex watch encrusted with diamonds which was also worth €30,000.
Other items taken include a diamond bracelet worth €25,000-thousand euro and a Victorian diamond ring.
Items with Emeralds, Sapphires, Rubies, Pearls and Amethysts were also taken.
