New jury sworn in for Geoghegan murder trial
A fresh jury has today been sworn in to hear the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering rugby player, Shane Geoghegan in Limerick.
Barry Doyle, who has an address at Portland Row in Dublin and Hyde Road, Limerick, denies murdering the 28 year-old in Dooradoyle in 2008.
The shooting was suspected by gardaí to be a case of mistaken identity.
Jurors were warned they should indicate whether they have any connections with Limerick before taking the oath at the Central Criminal Court.
The trial is due to get underway later today after the original jury was discharged yesterday.
