No body found in Athlone search

Gardaí investigating the suspected murder of Marie Greene in Athlone, Co Westmeath have carried out searches on bogland and various other locations in the area, but so far say Marie's body has not been found.

A man in his 60s was arrested earlier today in connection with the case.

Ms Greene, who is from St Mel's Terrace in Athlone, has been missing for more than a week.

A house in the Monksland area of Athlone has also sealed off as part of the investigation.
