Limerick city on flood alert
Limerick city is on flood alert with high tides of up to seven metres predicted today and tomorrow.
Anyone in Limerick with immediate concerns about rising water levels is being asked to phone 061 407100.
Cork City Council has issued a precautionary flood alert for tomorrow morning in low-lying areas of the city.
They are advising householders and businesses particularly along the quays, South Terrace, Cotter Street and Stable Lane to take precautionary measures, like moving valuable items from ground floor to first floor level.
