Wexford Gardaí arrest man in connection with dissident activity

A man in his early 20s has been arrested in Co Wexford in connection with dissident Republican activity.

The man was detained following the search of a house in Barnstown at 8am this morning.

During the course of the search component parts which could be used in the assembly of improvised explosive devices were seized.

The man in custody is being questioned at Wexford Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act.
