A Romanian man has been found guilty of the murder of a nurse in Sandyford in Dublin just more than a year ago.

Mihalache Marian stabbed Loradena Prisjan to death at accommodation at the Irish Management Institute.

It took a jury at the Central Criminal Court around an hour to convict the 49-year-old man of murder.

In a statement read to the Court, the victim's mother said her death had caused great pain, and their only reason for living now was to visit her daughter's grave.
