Serial rapist convicted of assault

A serial rapist who assaulted another woman just nine months after being released from prison has walked free from court.

Paul Moore (aged 46), of Mountjoy Square in Dublin, carried out the assault on the Romanian neighbour, wrongly telling gardaí she was a prostitute.

He has four convictions for rape and indecent assault, and was released in January 2009 having served a 10-year sentence for the violent rape of a musician he met in a Dublin pub.

Moore was released from custody today after receiving a five-month sentence which was backdated to August of 2009.
