Anti-War Movement to celebrate Egyptians' victory with rally
The Irish Anti-War Movement is holding a celebration rally in Dublin today following the victory of the Egyptian people in toppling the regime of Hosni Mubarak.
President Mubarak resigned on Friday night as a result of the 'White Revolution', so called because so little blood was spilled.
Today's rally will take place at 4pm this afternoon at the Spire on O'Connell Street.
Claudia Saba is Secretary of the Irish Anti War movement and said: "We've met members of the Egyptian community in Ireland, who have told us that they...were tortured with electrocution, denial of sleep for days on end. For them, this is a magnifucent moment."
