Martin: Shatter's claims of O'Callaghan links 'factually incorrect'

The Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin has hit out at Fine Gael, for "playing the man and not the ball".

He said a statement issued by the party's Justice Spokesperson Alan Shatter last night, on his links to property developer Owen O'Callaghan was "factually incorrect".

In the statement, Mr Shatter said that Mr Martin's denial that he had attended a meeting with Mr Ahern and the developer Owen O'Callaghan was "just not credible".

Fianna Fáil claim Fine Gael has completely misrepresented the facts and speaking in Killarney this afternoon, Michael Martin said Mr Shatter's account is "factually incorrect".
