Labour launches manifesto, with promise on minimum wage

The Labour Party has launched its election manifesto with a promise to renegotiate the EU/IMF deal to refocus on growth and job creation.

The Labour Party has launched its election manifesto with a promise to renegotiate the EU/IMF deal to refocus on growth and job creation.

The party also says it will hold a referendum on same-sex marriages, and will introduce an 18-month PRSI holiday for employers taking new staff off the live register.

The party's manifesto contains 100 promises, many of which have already been announced.

Party leader Eamon Gilmore repeated his promise to reverse the cut in the minimum wage, and a pledge not to increase income tax for workers earning less than €100,000.
