110 motorists caught using handheld phone every day

It has been claimed today that Gardaí are catching more than 110 motorists using their handheld mobile every day.

According to the Irish Independent, a Garda crackdown has seen an average of 770 people getting points for illegal mobile phone use every week in the 12 months to the end of January 2011.
